The Coach received her formal education, BA and MA, from the University of California Los Angeles, graduating with Latin Honors, Summa Cum Laude, College Honors, and Departmental Honors. In addition, the Coach also received UCLA Provost's and Dean's Honors at UCLA.
She is a member of Phi Sigma Theta National Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. The Coach has also received the prestigious Honorary Service Award from the national organization the Parent, Teacher Association.
Cynthia received her training as a Violence Prevention Specialist from Peace Over Violence (formerly Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women). They have been serving the community with numerous violence prevention services for over thirty years. Cynthia uses her training to educate women and the community at-large in violence prevention, especially in relationships. The Coach values her years of education, training, and experiences both inside and outside of the Academy.
Coach Ace is a recipient of the 2008 SHERO Award presented by California State Assemblymember Curren D. Price, Jr., 51st Assembly District. The award was presented in recognition of her many years of service to the community.
Cynthia and her husband have been married more than 38 years and were awarded the Dexter and Joyce Strother Pioneer Award in honor of their long and fruitful marriage. She is the mother of three adult children. Cynthia places a high value on the family and the relationships that are established within and as a result of that unit.
The family is the location where the first tools in building relationships is learned. Having grown up in a family that presented road blocks to building healthy relationships, Cynthia has made it a priority and her personal mission to coach clients in the area of building healthy relationships. The Coach believes in the God-given value of every client and the ability of every client to achieve their goals in spite of obstacles or seemingly unsurmountable odds.
From first-hand experience, the Coach understands that developing healthy relationships in the family, the workplace, and in the community is one of the most important building blocks to realizing ones goals. Human capital, the value that every person possesses, is a highly under-rated, under-valued resource that multiplies the possibilities for success. No one achieves their goals or realizes success apart from relationships with others!
Cynthia truly believes that her clients can create the life they desire. This philosophy has motivated her to cultivate a safe affirming space for clients to pursue their purpose in life and achieve their goals. Because of her commitment, experience, and expertise, clients receive top-notch coaching services along with great client support, a combination that can't be beat!
